The Piping Fisherman

A fisherman who was a skilled musician played his flute by the sea, in the hope that the fish, attracted by his melody, would jump up to him.

He blew in vain for a long time.

Finally, he put aside the flute, and cast his net into the sea. He made an excellent haul of fish, and they jumped briskly at the shore, and he said," O you most perverse creatures! When I piped, you would not dance. But now that I have ceased, you do so merrily."
