The Bald Knight

A bald knight who wore a wig was riding on his horse.
A sudden puff of wind blew off his hat and wig, at which a loud laugh rang forth from his companions.
He joined in the joke by saying: What is so funny when hair which does not belong to me should fly away from me? Which of us is born with a whole head of hair?

Moral

It is a rare wisdom to be able to mock oneself, as it relieves one from embarrassment.
