Motivation For Success I

  • A man watches his pear tree day after day, impatient for the ripening of the fruit. Let him attempt to force the process, and he may spoil the fruit and the tree. But let him patiently wait, and the ripe fruit, at length, will fall into his lap.
  • A man without decision can never be said to belong to himself; he is as of the sea, or a feather in the air which every breeze blows here and there.
  • A throne is no place for getting puffed up, but for folding the hands in prayer.
  • A racehorse that consistently runs just a second faster than another horse is worth millions of dollars more. Be willing to give that effort that separates the winner from the one in second place.
  • A successful man loses no reputation.
  • A wise man does not entrust all his eggs to one basket.
  • Accept defeat without being defeated.
  • All men, when prosperity is at its height, ought then consider in what way they will endure disaster, if it happened.
  • Always behave like a duck – keep calm and unruffled on the surface but paddle like the devil underneath.
  • Success depends in a very large measure upon individual initiative and exertion, and cannot be achieved except by dint of hard work.
  • Some men succeed by what they know; some by what they do; and few by what they are.
  • Someone who is afraid of failure and afraid to face challenges will never taste success.
  • Success comes in “Cans” ;  Failure comes in “Can’ts”
  • Success should not go to your head, failure should not be left in your heart.
  • Success is a journey, not a destination.
  • Success is never final and failure never fatal.  It is courage that counts.
  • Success is that old ABC – Ability Breaks Courage.
  • Success is the reward of anyone who looks for trouble.
  • Success is the sole earthly judge of right from wrong.
  • Success needs no explanation; failure has none.
  • Success, which is something so simple in the end, is made up of thousand of things, we never fully know what.
  • Successful and fortunate crime is called virtue.
  • Take care of the pence, and the pounds will take care of themselves.
  • Take time to deliberate, but when the time for action has arrived, stop thinking and go ahead.
